The IPv6 Technology Deployment Summit Proceedings

At the IPv6 Forum's North American IPv6 Technology Deployment Summit, industry leaders reported on applications and international initiatives for large-scale deployment of Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6). IPv6, the Next Generation Internet, preserves everything that's good about today's Internet - and adds much more: enormous increases in addresses, mobile user support and automated management, mandatory security and optional service levels.

The IPv6 Technology Deployment Summit has alerted the North American technology, business and political communities about the importance of America's role in making worldwide deployment of IPv6 a reality. Attendees of the summit also heard Cisco, Compaq, DOCOMO, HP, Hitachi, IBM and Ericsson report on deployment, transition and mobility benefits of IPv6.
